The Lurdy Ház car parking is located in Budapest’s 9th district at Könyves Kálmán körút 12–14. The surface car park and underground garage together offer almost 1,300 parking spaces for visitors.

Parking operates with a licence plate recognition, paperless system, so in most cases there is no need for a physical parking ticket. You can pay the parking fee in cash, by bank card or online via the Lurdy App.

Licence plate recognition parking

In most cases the system automatically recognises the vehicle’s licence plate, so there is no need for a parking ticket.

How it works

• When you enter, the system automatically reads and recognises your licence plate.

• Before leaving, enter your licence plate number (without spaces) at the payment machine, or pay the parking fee via the Lurdy App.

• After payment has been verified, the barrier will lift automatically.

If the system does not recognise your licence plate

It may happen that the system cannot automatically recognise a licence plate. In this case you will receive a parking ticket and continue as usual:

• Pay the parking fee at the payment machine by scanning the barcode printed on your ticket, or directly in the Lurdy App.

Assistance in the car park

If you need help, use the Information button on the payment machines or at the barriers. Our staff are available during car park opening hours and will gladly assist you.

Access

Both the surface car park and the underground garage can be accessed from Forinyák Géza utca.

• From the city centre: turn left from Mester utca into Forinyák Géza utca.

• From Buda: exit Könyves Kálmán körút at the Mester utca slip road.

• From Pest: from Könyves Kálmán körút, turn towards Forinyák Géza utca before the petrol station, or turn right at the Mester utca junction.

Parking fees

Surface car park

• The first 60 minutes are free of charge once per day (based on licence plate, per entry).

• After that, the parking fee is 450 HUF per started hour.

Underground garage

• The first 30 minutes are free of charge.

• After that, the parking fee is 500 HUF per started hour.

If a parking ticket is lost or becomes illegible, the replacement ticket fee is 10,000 HUF per started calendar day. Replacement tickets can be obtained at the dispatcher’s office (near the entrance from the surface car park).

These fees are valid from 30 July 2026.

Payment of parking fees

You can pay the parking fee in several ways:

• in cash at the payment machines;

• by bank card at the payment machines;

• online via the Lurdy App.

After payment, you have 15 minutes to exit the car park.

With the Lurdy App you can easily pay the parking fee from your mobile phone.

• If you have received a parking ticket, simply scan the barcode printed on it, then complete payment in just a few taps.

In the underground garage, MVM Mobiliti electric vehicle chargers are available, so you can charge your car while you shop or run errands.

VAT invoice

You can request a VAT invoice within 24 hours of parking by emailing [email protected].

Please include:

• the parking receipt or parking ticket;

• the customer’s name, address and tax number;

• the email address or postal address where you would like to receive the invoice.

If any data is missing, we are unable to issue an invoice.
