Picking up a package? Sending one off?
Does Christmas still feel a little way off? There are only 51 days until Christmas Eve! There’s still time to choose your gifts without rushing and take care of the errands you’d rather not leave until the last minute in December. If you’ve already ordered a few things, you can combine collecting your parcels with shopping and those jobs that are hard to fit into the working week.
Pick up your parcel, send something at the post office, collect your coat from the dry cleaner’s and browse for the gifts still on your list. At Lurdy, you can do it all in one place.
Where can you have your parcel delivered?
When placing your order, look for Lurdy Ház (1097 Budapest, Könyves Kálmán krt. 12–14.) among the available collection locations. MPL, GLS, FOXPOST and Packeta parcel lockers are available here. If you prefer a staffed collection point, you’ll find the following options:
-
Térképbolt / Ibolya Csomagpont: GLS, DPD and Packeta parcel collection point.
-
Mister Minit: DPD parcel collection point.
-
Post Office: MPL parcel collection point, plus services for sending and receiving letters and parcels.
Before setting off, check your notification to see which locker or shop your parcel has arrived at, when you need to collect it and what you’ll need to bring. That way, you won’t have to search for your collection code or instructions when you get here.
If you’re sending or returning a parcel, check in advance that your chosen location offers the service you need.
What else is on your list?
While you’re out, it’s worth thinking about what else you could get done on the same trip.
As well as sending parcels, you can pay your postal payment slips at the post office. For banking services, you’ll find OTP and UniCredit branches here, along with ATMs from several banks for cash withdrawals.
You can pick up anything you need from BENU Pharmacy on the ground floor or drop off clothes at Top Clean dry cleaner’s. And if you’re travelling abroad, you can exchange currency without making a separate trip.
Check the opening hours of individual shops and bank branches before visiting, especially if you’re coming after work.
You don’t have to carry your parcels around
If you’d like to do some shopping or stop for a break after collecting your parcel, you’ll find free storage lockers on the ground floor, beside the entrance from the outdoor car park. The PIN-operated lockers are available for use during your visit, subject to availability. Please remember to collect your belongings before closing: all lockers are emptied at 10 pm.lurdyhaz
If you’re feeling hungry, stop for lunch in the first-floor BISTRO ZONE, or sit down for a coffee before heading on.
Don’t leave everything until the last few days
Before ordering or sending gifts, check the delivery providers’ latest shipping deadlines. Keep an eye on your parcel’s collection deadline too, especially if you won’t be able to pick it up for a few days.
You don’t have to get everything done in one afternoon. But tick off a few errands while collecting your parcel, and you’ll have that much less to do in December.
