Give Blood, Save Lives – Blood Donation at Lurdy Conference Center

The Budapest Red Cross and the Lurdy Conference and Event Center are organizing a blood donation event on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM. This is an opportunity to come together and help those who need it most—patients whose lives depend on life-saving blood transfusions.

Why is Blood Donation Important?

In Hungary, thousands of blood donors are needed every day to ensure uninterrupted medical care in hospitals. One single blood donation can save up to three lives, as the collected blood is processed into different components essential for emergency treatments, surgeries, and accident victims.

Who Can Donate Blood?

✔ Healthy adults aged 18 to 65
✔ Weighing at least 50 kg (110 lbs)
✔ No recent illnesses and no alcohol consumption within 24 hours before donation

📌 Required Documents:
Please bring your ID card, address card, and social security card (TAJ card).

What to Expect?

Blood donation is a quick, safe, and painless process, taking only 30–45 minutes. A professional medical team will ensure that everything goes smoothly and comfortably.
