Get ready for bikini season early!

2024.05.14.

With the warm feeling of spring sunshine, we are getting closer and closer to summer every day. Many people are looking forward to showing off their summer clothes again, whether it’s in a mini skirt or shorts, but at the same time there are also a lot of people who have negative, reserved feelings about it, especially when they hear the word bikini. If you are in the latter camp, it is worth considering what you can do to avoid this unpleasant feeling and thus not miss out on something you really want to do, but are inhibited from, for example, going to the beach with friends or family or wearing short dresses. It is definitely worth being realistic and setting achievable goals, even with the help of a professional. Now is the time to make some big changes, and if the will is there, we can give you some useful advice.
The first thing to do is to review your diet, with enough attention you can significantly increase your energy levels and even lose a few kilos:
Add a variety of fruit and vegetables to your diet
Include a variety of fruit and vegetables on the table every day, preferably several times a day. There are plenty of recipes available on the internet for how to make varied and really delicious salads.
Water, water and water
It cannot be stressed enough how important it is for our bodies to stay properly hydrated. Once you have the quantity, it’s important to look at the quality. Try to eliminate sugary, carbonated drinks from your daily diet and replace them with non-carbonated water as soon as possible. If you can’t drink plain water in sufficient quantities, choose flavoured versions, or you can flavour them at home with lemon, orange or refreshing cucumber, for example.
What and when
Many people fall into the trap of eating almost all day without realising it. Often we don’t even realise how many extra calories we take in between our main meals in front of the monitor or while watching a film, which makes our stomach work and work all the time. Let’s stop snacking and make sure that between 2 meals we allow 3-4 hours to pass. Breakfast is an important way to start the day and you should feel free to eat a normal amount of carbohydrates. For lunch, start by halving the side dishes with meat and replace one half with vegetables, and if you can do that, you can go for a full vegetable round. Rediscover soups and stews, as they are really delicious when made with good basic ingredients. For lunch, feel free to have some fruit, vegetables or yoghurt. In the evening, try to keep carbohydrate intake to a minimum, opting for a lower-calorie meal.
An essential element for faster change and a healthy lifestyle transition is a regime of exercise. If sport has been your bogeyman, gradually make friends with the activity.

Walking, hiking:
There’s nothing better than exploring nature in spring. Organise weekend outings with family and friends to get fresh air, have fun and exercise, and watch your ability to cover more and more distance increase.
Exercise:
Since Covid, more and more opportunities are presenting themselves in this area too. If you don’t have the courage to go to a gym initially, you can join an online community where you can do exercises in the comfort of your own home. There are now a wide range of classes available, at different levels, many of which can be viewed at a time that suits you. Then there’s no excuse!
We wish all those who want to get in shape a lot of perseverance, because with enough patience, motivation and a constant focus on your goals, you will surely see results sooner or later!
